This is a much older property in need of updating. The price was outrageous and clearly spiked due to graduation weekend at Chico State. Our bed was the hardest, most uncomfortable I have literally ever experienced. DO NOT STAY HERE!
The location was convenient for my needs. The staff was nice and quick to solve problems.
Bed was hard and doings in my back made uncomfortable, the caulking on the tub was either dirty or moldy, there was hard water build up on the drain stop. Paint and wallpaper poorly applied, looked like water leak from upstairs ran down the wall.
One of the things I liked was the shower. No bathtub, it was good being that my husband has arthritis he didn't have to climb on the bathtub.
Being on the second floor. I should have requested a room downstairs when I made the reservations.
Close to all i had to do
Bathroom windows coukd be more secure and peeling wallpaper needs reglued
Cleanness and needs updating.
The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was pretty good.
I can't just write 2-3 sentences, so I will list the problems. Outdated room; doors were dirty with mud or something (both inside and out); floors weren't vaccumed very well (food crumbs under the desk); headboards were dusted or cleaned (sticky stuff on top of one where you would set your head while sitting up on the bed); mirrors were dirty with smear marks as well as a hand print; freezer was unusable due to so much frost build up (definitely needed to be defrosted. It was so thick there was about a 1 inch hole in the middle); floor in the bathroom was not cleaned very well (outdatef and some hair on the floor); shower curtain had hair and stains on it; there were dirty stains in the walls; trim around the cooler was stained with dirt; there was actual dark hairs on the pillow cases on one of the beds. I wouldn't recommend a hotel in this area because our family that lives in Oroville said that the area is known for thefts and and other unsavory things. Also the pool is about 1/2 the size then want is shown. They close the pool early because they have no safety lights.
Rooms small, repainted, beds squeaked and was as hard as a board might as well slept on the floor. Will not stay there again.
How old and dilapidated it was. It needs to be torn down.
It was dirty location not real safe but that's Oroville
Room was spacious, clean, comfortable and secure. Room included a table and 2 chairs convenient for a takeaway. Comprehensive nice breakfast. Good wi fi connection.
No eating places within walking distance.
The room was clean. it was a non smoking room and actually smelled like a non smoking room! Neighbors were quiet and bed was comfortable. Water pressure was poor and lukewarm but hey CA is in a drought!
I was traveling late so I showed up at 1130pm. The front desk was empty and everything was locked up. I had to call the number and let them know I was there. If I wasn't afraid of being charged for the reservation I would have walked away.
The pool, location & room. Bathroom needed caulking at sink & window
Thought breakfast would be better Hard boiled eggs, toaster waffles& ran out of all Ate breakfast at a restaurant up the street next day even though it was included with the room.
Bad aea. Lots of homeless and drug users. Counter person had np personality at all. Not very friendly
Try and find a wall outlet for a computer...... not a single one in the whole room!!!! You better have a fully charged battery for your computer in you want to use the free WiFi.
The staff were pleasant and courteous. The price was cheap.
The room was tiny--hardly could get around the beds and the air conditioner blew right on one of the beds. As the room was not air-conditioned when we arrived (despite having reserved in advance), we had to run the air on high to try to cool it down. But the worst thing was the cockroaches! Two huge ones in the closet, one out in the room. We caught them to prove it. The day of my daughter's wedding we had to change hotels, shake out everything before leaving, and wash all our clothing. They were very nice about refunding our money, but they insisted that the roaches has just "come up from the drain" which makes me think they probably didn't plan to fumigate.
